Simple Earth Magic:

Next time you go for a walk, keep an eye out for a rock or stone that captures your attention. It doesn't need to be anything spectacular, just something that calls to you.

Get down low and take a good long look at it. Touch it, examine it, feel the weight of it in your hand.

Greet it as you would another person. And then, if it feels right, ask if it would like to travel with you for a while and be a reminder, be medicine, for these uncertain times and a portable connection to the big, wild earth.

Hold it for a while and listen to your gut. Ask permission and notice. Does it agree to go with you? If you are not sure, put it back down and say thanks.

If it feels good, pick it up with gratitude and know that it is a gift that you can hold onto as long as you need it. You can keep in in your pocket, or under your pillow, or hold it in your hand from time to time.

Put your worry into it and your unsteadiness. Hold it to ground yourself and gather strength.

At some point, when you haven't been interacting with it for a while, return it to the earth and say thank you. It's a simple as that!

Try a Solo Cannabis Quest:

When you in nature by yourself, you are never actually alone. It is possible to experience solitude which is healing and profoundly different than loneliness. If you are itching for connection and touch, try sharing some time with Cannabis, the earth, the trees, the birds and the water.

Find a time to go outside by yourself and bring some Cannabis. If you are anxious about scarcity, bring a tiny bit of whatever kind of food you prize most and make an offering to the land. Otherwise, any biodegrade offering such as tobacco, water or flowers will due.

Before you smoke, take a few minutes to sit quietly and notice what sensations, thoughts and feelings are present inside your own body, mind and spirit.

Notice the variety of living things that surround you, and acknowledge them as your companions in this moment.

Then, invite Cannabis itself to be with you and welcome it into your body when you smoke. Ask to receive soothing and connection to the other-than-human life that surrounds and moves through you.

Hang out, stay receptive and give thanks before you return indoors.
